                      2000 Monastic Visit

The Minneapolis Meditation Group was privileged to have Brother Devananda and Brother Pranavananda (formerly Brahmachari Douglas) visit us November 7-10, 2000. They had just completed a lecture tour to Boston and New York and were on their way back to Mother Center. What a joy to have this spur of the moment visit (we actually had a couple of months advance notice). The main event was an inspirational service and satsanga held at our St. Louis Park chapel on Thursday November 9^th attended by 43 devotees.

Following the Inspiration Service and Satsanga the Brothers were given a present of cement stepping stone made by our teens. The younger Sunday school children had also made a banner to greet the monks.  

Here the Brothers display the gifts from the children.  The teens were obviously very happy to present these to the Brothers. 

We had a very enjoyable time socializing with the Brothers following the Thursday evening service. Needless to say, we had a wonderful time. The joy of Master's teachings were shared by all. 

In addition to hiking along Minnehaha Creek in Minneapolis, the Brothers were also had time to go to several scenic spots in the area such as Minnehaha Falls. Thank you so very much, Brother Devananda and Brother Pranavananda, for bringing the teachings of God and Guru to us!!
